Planned Parenthood of CT is the largest provider of reproductive health care in Connecticut, serving over 60,000 patients annually at 18 health centers across the state. Services range from annual exams to the full range of birth control options, emergency contraception, STD testing and treatment, HIV testing, abortion (both surgical and be medication) and colposcopy/cryosurgery (for treatment of abnormal Pap results. PPC accepts most insurance, HUSKY (Medicaid) and offers services on a sliding fee scale. PPC has long been a partner in the Connecticut Coalition for Choice and, in addition to our medical services, is proud to support public policies that protect our ability to offer those services to the women (and men) of Connecticut. PPC is also widely known for high quality professional trainings of teachers, parents, and other youth-serving professionals on the range of issues surrounding healthy sexuality and relationships and sexual health. CWEALF is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women, girls, and their families to achieve equal opportunities in their personal and professional lives. For more than 127 years, AAUW has taken strong positions on issues affecting women and families. On this 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, given the recent threats, AAUW will continue to fight for these rights on the state and federal level. Because Equity is Still An Issue. Connecticut Sexual Assault Crisis Services, Inc. is a statewide coalition of individual sexual assault crisis programs, which work to end sexual violence through victim assistance, community education, and public policy advocacy. Republicans for ChoiceThe CT Republicans for Choice are an affiliate of the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a national organization committed to the Republican principles of individual liberty, freedom and privacy. To that end, the Coalition is dedicated to supporting the Roe v Wade Supreme Court ruling of 1973; to promoting reproductive health as policy rather than politics; to encouraging personal responsibility through family planning initiatives; and to maintaining individual liberty for all women by ensuring access to reproductive health care, regardless of income. Wade, the Supreme Court's 1973 landmark decision legalizing abortion, being "pro-choice" has come to mean more than supporting the legality of abortion. Today, it means ensuring that the full range of reproductive freedoms extends to all women - regardless of age, class, race or geographic region.
