NPCC Executive Director to Co-Chair the CT Coalition for Choice
PRES FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact Jillian Gilchrest, Executive Director of NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut has been selected to co-chair the Connecticut Coalition for Choice. Ms. Gilchrest will co-chair the coalition with Gretchen Raffa of Planned Parenthood Connecticut. The Connecticut Coalition for Choice is comprised of a variety of organizations that prioritize reproductive health as a legislative priority. In 2007, the Coalition successfully worked together to help pass “Compassionate Care for Rape Victims”, a landmark piece of legislation that requires Connecticut’s hospitals to offer and provide rape victims with emergency contraception in the emergency room. “I am pleased and honored to be serving as co-chair to the Connecticut Coalition for Choice,” said Jillian Gilchrest. “Our state has a long tradition of protecting and promoting women’s reproductive health and I look forward to continuing that work with the Coalition for Choice.” ###
